Virgin Media offering a FREE Xbox Series S to new customers

Black Friday is now a firm part of the pre-Christmas calendar here in Ireland having been imported over from the US around a decade ago.  

All companies and retailers are quick to promote how great their offers are, though some are certainly better than others. And at bonkers.ie we always remind consumers not to get carried away by the deals on offer and to do your research before buying any items. 

However one early Black Friday deal which has definitely piqued our interest is the new offer from Virgin Media…

What’s on offer? 

Virgin Media is giving away an Xbox Series S 512GB for FREE to all new customers who sign up to its 1Gbps or 2Gbps broadband and TV plans.

The offer also includes a three-month subscription to the Xbox Game Pass.

The Series S console usually retails for €299.99 while an Xbox Game Pass will set you back €14.99 a month meaning this is one of the best Black Friday deals on offer at the moment.

On top of this, Virgin is currently waiving all sign-up and activation fees. 

And, following a recent partnership with SIRO, Virgin's deals are now available in more locations than ever!

Virgin has a host of broadband, phone, and TV deals on offer at the moment. You can compare all deals from Virgin Media and indeed all the other main suppliers by using our free broadband and TV checker. 

But to get the free console you must sign up to one of the deals below on either a 12-month or 24-month contract. Virgin recently introduced 24-month discounts meaning the savings for those who switch can last even longer. 

Depending on location, for around €3 to €5 extra a month, you can add a home phone package to the deals below. 

When will I get the Xbox?

Virgin Virgin says it’ll send out your free console 28 days after installation, which you should then receive within around another five working days.

So if you’re hoping to have the console in time for Christmas or to gift it as a present to someone else, just be aware of the timelines. 

I’m an existing Virgin Media customer - can I sign up?

Unfortunately if you’re an existing broadband or TV customer with Virgin Media then this deal isn’t available to you.

On the mobile side of things, Virgin is also in a giveaway mood.

If you sign up to a billpay plan with Virgin Mobile you'll receive a FREE pair of JBL Live Pro 2 wireless earphones worth €149.99 on select phones, some of which have no upfront payment.

For example Virgin is offering the 128GB iPhone 13 for free on its €55 a month deal, which includes unlimited calls, texts and data. And the aforementioned earphones - not bad!

Virgin isn't the only supplier offering great deals right now.
