Revolut has started to provide customers with educational resources, focusing first on the basics of cryptocurrency, in a bid to improve financial literacy.

Revolut has newly launched educational courses on cryptocurrency, adding to its growing list of financial products and services for Revolut users.

Dubbed ‘Learn and Earn’, the new courses are completely free and are aimed at improving customer knowledge of cryptocurrencies as well as advancing financial literacy.

What’s more, Revolut plans to add more courses later in 2022, suitable for both experienced traders and those brand new to crypto.

So what exactly is involved? We take a look!

How Learn and Earn works

Revolut users can take short and straightforward courses via Learn and Earn in the Revolut app, covering topics such as blockchains, popular tokens, and, perhaps most importantly, the risks associated with crypto investments.

At present, users can take two short courses for free: Crypto Basics and Polkadot.

Both courses must be completed in order, starting with Crypto Basics which covers everything from what distinguishes crypto from regular money, to how blockchain technology functions.

The second and last course meanwhile focuses on the multichain network Polkadot and its native token called DOT.

A final quiz must be passed at the end of each course and by doing so participants can earn up to a total of €9 in DOT tokens.

If you’re interested in taking the courses you can access Learn and Earn via the Revolut hub now.

Speaking about the launch of Learn and Earn, Emil Urmashin, Crypto General Manager at Revolut, said:

There’s a huge appetite from our customers to learn more about cryptocurrencies. ‘Learn & Earn‘ will help them better understand the trends, risks and potential opportunities associated with Crypto.

Our collaboration with Web3 Foundation on Polkadot, one of the most popular blockchain networks, will help customers become more familiar with crypto concepts.

Revolut has specified that the above learning material available through Learn and Earn is for informational purposes only and is not to be interpreted as financial advice.

Cryptocurrency on Revolut

Customers can currently invest in more than 80 cryptocurrencies on Revolut, more than half of which have been added to the app since the beginning of this year.

Should you want to buy and sell crypto on Revolut, you can do so in several ways. For example, users can set up a stop or limit order, or use the Recurring Buy feature.

Customers can also roundup any spare change into a cryptocurrency of their choice.
