Generally, when one thinks of the retail phenomenon that Black Friday has become known for in the last few years, the first images that come to mind are hoards of crowds running to the shops to snap up flash deals on luxury items destined for Christmas gifts the following month.

But did you know that broadband, phone and TV providers are also getting in on the action this year? By making the switch today (or over the weekend and through to Cyber Monday) you could end up making yourself some savings that will last for a year or more!

The best Black Friday deals in broadband, phone & TV

eir

For Black Friday, eir is temporarily discounting all of its bundles by €10 per month for 12 months for any new customers that sign up during this period.

Let’s take a look at an example. Usually for eir’s dualplay bundle which includes unlimited 100Mb broadband and unlimited off-peak local and national calls you’d expect to pay €39.99 per month for the first 12 months (on a 12-month contract). During the Black Friday promotion period you can get the same offer for just €29.99 per month. That’s an annual saving of €120. Not bad!

The promotion is valid from now until midnight on Monday 26th November.

And don’t forget, all eir customers also get free access to eir Sport, a premium seven channel live sports package.

Virgin Media

Virgin Media is running two great offers for Black Friday.

Sign up to any of Virgin Media’s tripleplay bundles (that’s broadband, home phone and TV) before 26th November and you’ll get a brand new 32-inch smart LG TV worth €379.99 for free!

The provider is also offering four months free mobile data, calls and texts to existing customers signing up to Virgin Mobile for the first time. Check out this article for more info.

Sky

In competition with Virgin Media, Sky is also offering a FREE 32-inch LG TV to new customers who sign up to any of its bundles that include TV.

And, to up the ante, if 32 inches isn’t big enough for you, as an alternative you can opt for a 43 inch LG UHD TV for just €149.

It’s worth noting that the provider is also currently offering 12-month introductory discounts across all of its tripleplay and TV-only bundles.

There are certainly some great savings to be made, and with a free TV thrown into the mix, a deal from Sky is tempting. Be sure to compare all of its offers before making any decisions.

Vodafone

Switch to Vodafone bill pay and you'll get a free Google Google Home Mini worth €59 on selected phones.

Google Home Mini is a smart speaker with the Google Assistant built-in which can be used to play music, control smart home gadgets, answer trivia questions, add things to a shopping list, create calendar appointments and much more!

NOW TV

Looking for a new online streaming option? NOW TV is getting in on the Black Friday action by offering two months of its Entertainment and Sky Cinema passes for just €25.

Both passes usually cost €15 per month each so you’ll make a saving of €35 by signing up now.
