With loads of great deals floating around online, a whole host of broadband and mobile providers are offering a range of irresistible deals this Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Love it or loathe it, it’s here, it’s finally here! The day every consumer both loves to hate and hates to love, but we love to see it - Black Friday!

Bringing you super savings across a wide range of products both online and in-store, consumers are bound to find a deal that will save them money in the run-up to Christmas.

And Irish consumers will be glad to hear that four out of six broadband providers on the island of Ireland are getting in on the action, providing some serious savings and bargains this time around.

We’re feeling particularly festive this year so we've decided to make a list of all the best offers in one place for your ease - and if that isn’t true Black Friday spirit, we don’t know what is?

Vodafone

Getting straight into the fray, Vodafone has announced it is offering a free Google Home Hub for new Vodafone Home customers.

The deal will see new customers gifted with the smart home device when they sign up to a Vodafone Home Broadband product. Being able to dim the lights, adjust the heating and throw on your favourite show, all while relaxing from the comfort of the couch seems pretty tempting.

Tell you more? Well, ok!

How it works

You can pick up one of the home assistants by signing up online or via Vodafone's live chat function.

The deal is open to new broadband customers who sign up for any combination of Vodafone Home Broadband products for €25 per month for the first six months. All packages come with a minimum 12-month contract.

So, for example, if you sign up to Vodafone’s Simply Broadband and Unlimited Irish Landline Calls plan you will receive a free Google Home Hub for you and yours.

New customers will receive a unique code and instructions for redeeming their Hub within 21 days of their broadband being installed and can collect their gift by no later than 31st May 2020.

The offer ends on 2nd December.

Is it a good deal?

The Google Home Hub retails for approximately €149 and has wide and varied functionality, including being able to control your home’s media, lights and thermostat, as well as being able to make calls to both mobiles and landlines.

For those looking to upgrade their smart home, this is the essential new piece of tech, directly rivaling Amazon’s Echo.

The free gadget is pretty tempting, but consumers have to consider that the price of their plan may be subject to change after the six-month promotional period, depending on the package chosen, of course. Customers may not even have the hub for Christmas, depending on how busy Vodafone is with current orders and installations.

Additionally, the offer does not apply to existing broadband customers who are either switching or upgrading.

Can you be tempted?

Sky

Sky Ireland is offering new customers to Sky TV a brand new 32” LG TV for free as part of its Black Friday promotion.

The offer is also available to new customers looking to subscribe to quad or triple-play bundles also!

How it works

The television will be offered gratis to new customers, all they have to do is sign up to Sky TV before Monday 2nd December 2019. The TV itself will then be despatched to customers within 45 days after signing up.

The offer includes Sky’s standard TV package for €32 per month with over 300 Sky TV channels, including Sky Atlantic.

Customers have the added option of upgrading to a myriad of Sky's extra entertainment packages to boot.

If you can be enticed by Ultra HD TV, Smart TV operating software, and a crystal clear resolution then this deal could be right up your street.

Is it a good deal?

What Sky provides is, by all means, one of the best TV services available on the market, but as bill payers are all too acutely aware, it doesn’t come without a price.

To avail of Sky’s Black Friday LG TV promotion, the starting price for the basic TV package is €32 a month, however, this will increase by €3 a month on December 1st, so be sure to get in quick!

As those of us who like our add-ons know all too well, Sky really gets you in the extras when it comes to additional subscriptions. Customers can currently add Sky Sports to their package for an extra €20 per month on a rolling 31-day contract, as well as a wide variety of supplementary extras including Sky Cinema and HD viewing.

Despite being able to rack up a huge monthly bill with a range of additional add-ons, €32 a month for the quality of service and choice of channels is not too shabby. And if they throw in a free TV, well you might just immediately turn into an auctioneer. SOLD!

Eir

Another almost irresistible bargain comes from Eir who is offering a €5 discount on it's ‘For Life’ broadband deal.

New customers also have the choice of choosing between the above and its six-month broadband promotion, retailing at €29.99 for six months.

How it works

Eir is giving all new broadband customers to it's ‘For Life’ plan a €5 discount for six months, which works out at €44.99 for the first six months and €49.99 thereafter, for life.

It is also offering broadband for €29.99 a month for six months, which will in turn revert to €59.99 a month after that period.

The deals will run through Black Friday and will finish on 2nd December.

And if that’s not enough, all new broadband customers who sign up will receive an Amazon Prime Video subscription for free for 12 months, pretty much the length of a contract.

The Amazon deal can also be availed of by existing Eir broadband customers.

Is it a good deal?

One of the key features of the ‘For Life’ deal is that the price of €49.99 offered is for life - you heard us, forever! And with €5 off for the first six months it’s not to be sniffed at, for sure.

Despite the plan appearing a bit pricey in comparison to other offers out there, one has to take into account the unlimited data allowance on offer, and the continuity of contract, and the fact that you can rest safe in the knowledge that your plan is never going to increase in price!

Virgin Mobile

Last but not least comes a Black Friday SIM only deal from Virgin Mobile. It's offering unlimited mobile usage for just €5 per month for five months.

How it works

Virgin Mobile is offering unlimited mobile usage on its SIM-only deal for just €5 per month for five months. So that’s an accumulated bill of only €25 for almost half a year? Not bad, not bad at all!

And what’s more, the plan, should you decide it suits your needs sufficiently, will be only €25 a month thereafter, all on a 30-day rolling contract.

The offer runs until Monday 2nd December and both new and existing customers are eligible to apply.

Is it a good deal?

An offer as low as this is immediately eye-catching, and to be fair, does what it says on the tin. It could be especially useful if you’re looking for a plan to tide you over until finding something that might suit your needs a bit better.

The one drawback, however, is that if you are an existing customer you will have to get another SIM card, at no extra cost, but a new one nonetheless.

So there you have it - the best broadband and mobile deals that Black Friday has to offer, so get shopping!
