The Digital Services Act

The Digital Services Act (DSA) is an EU Regulation that sets out uniform rules for online intermediary service providers. As such, the DSA applies to bonkers.ie.

The purpose of the DSA is to protect the safety of online users and promote fairer business.

In Ireland, the Coimisiún na Meán (CNM) is the Digital Services Coordinator and is tasked with the enforcement and implementation of the DSA.

In line with the transparency requirements of the DSA, online platforms are required to provide a single point of contact to enable direct communication with platform users and certain authorities.
